 Post subject: Astra Estate 1.6 Y Reg, Emission Light problem

I own an Astra Estate 1.6 Y reg and have a problem that wont go away

The problem is the emission light keeps coming on and after a short while the engine starts to run rough.

The car has been in and out of the workshop and I have so far spent £ 900.00 with ECU unit (twice), valve rod, piston rings, O2 sensors (both), cracked spark plugs (3 times).

Does anyone out there have any suggestions?
